METAL LEGENDS ATTACKER SIGN WITH CHAVIS RECORDS

Press release from: Chavis Records

/ PR Agency: CRPR
Legendary heavy metal band ATTACKER has signed with CHAVIS RECORDS for the worldwide digital distribution of their complete catalog including the critically acclaimed 'Battle At Helms Deep', plus 'The Second Coming', 'Soul Taker' and 'The Unknown'.

Formed in 1983, and being one of the first heavy metal bands to use J.R.R. Tolkien's books as a source of inspiration, ATTACKER released 'Battle At Helms Deep' and quickly amassed a legion of metal followers making 'Battle At Helms Deep' an underground critically acclaimed metal masterpiece. ATTACKER released 'The Second Coming' in 1988 and then went into hiatus.

2004 saw ATTACKER make a solid comeback with the release of 'Soul Taker' and established themselves as one of the great live bands when they performed their now legendary showcase at the KEEP IT TRUE Festival in April 2004 at Tauberfrankenhalle, Lauda-Königshofen, Germany along with their headlining debut at the HEAVY METAL MANIACS Festival in October 2004 at Manifesto Hall in Hoorn Holland. Upon their return from Holland, the band kept a low profile as far as live shows with the exception of their still talked about performances in Germany in July of 2005. A trek that was highlighted by a special performance of the entire 'Battle At Helms Deep' album which took place at the world-renowned Head-Bangers Ballroom in Hamburg. Aside from conquering Europe the band kept an intense studio schedule while creating their newest effort 'The Unknown' released in 2006.

Since the release of 'The Unknown', ATTACKER has stepped up their live performances with many appearances at the TRUE METAL AMERICA Concert Series and are one of very few bands to be asked back to the KEEP IT TRUE Festival in 2008! ATTACKER will deliver a very special show by performing the complete 'Battle At Helms Deep' saga.

ATTACKER has enjoyed one of the best comebacks to ever occur in many years. The band has now come, full circle and are back where they belong. The band is in the pre production stages of a new release for 2008. Throughout their career, the band has built an incredible worldwide following, thanks to timeless heavy metal classics such as the aforemetioned 'Battle At Helms Deep', 'The Second Coming' plus their come back classic 'Soul Taker' and now 'The Unknown', all to be release digitally via CHAVIS RECORDS and available at iTunes, Rhapsody, AOL Music, Yahoo Music plus many many more worldwide.
