Alconost to offer help authoring for software makers

12-01-2011 01:28 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Alconos

/ PR Agency: SoftPressRelease
Alconost has expanded its lineup of services, now offering documentation for programs, sites, web services and mobile apps in Russian and English. The company authors manuals, help systems, Quick Start guides, "How to…" articles, online help and FAQs. Alconost offers writing both "from scratch" and based on existing client materials.

For any program to be competitive on today's market, its documentation must be informative, well-written and concise. Alconost can create both detailed, full-length help documents (manuals, help systems and online help) and mini-documentation that describes a product or specific aspects of it (Quick Starts, "How to…" articles and FAQs).

Supported formats for help creation include .doc, .html, .chm, .pdf, .rtf, .exe (eBook), .hlp, .hxs and .ePUB, with support available for non-trivial document formats.

For documentation with a "splash", multimedia and illustrations can make help that stands out from the crowd, thanks to screenshots, graphics, diagrams, logos, videos and Flash animations.

Alconost also translates help documentation into 18 languages and creates tutorial videos and software trailers for programs, websites and online apps. Voiceovers and translations are performed exclusively by professional voiceover artists and native speakers of the target languages.

Over 300 IT companies have turned to Alconost for promoting their products on international markets. Alconost clients can now commission help documentation for their software products.
