3D ALIGNMENT PROCESS  PATENT GRANTED IN GERMANY 3D. International solidifies its position in the 3D market space in Germany with grant from Patent Office.

JENA, GERMANY—November 23rd, 2011 –  3D International announced today that it has received its 10th patent grant for its Alignment tool process of 3D optical element that is used to build 3D screens based on its patent pending Chromatic Light Deflector CLD™ in the country of Germany. The patent grant was issued by the European Patent Office and set into force, amongst other countries, in Germany. The patent is broad in its nature and covers the unique, proprietary system used by CLD™ and its Parallax Barrier based systems and constitute to a basket of key patents that the Company owns. This allows the Company to manufacture consistent and mass quantities of its 3D displays using optical elements. “This particular patent family has already been successfully licensed to various partners over 3 continents worldwide and protects important processes on the use of a 2D camera for semi-automated or automated production of 3D displays” comments Dr. Markus Klippstein, Director Group Operations of 3D International Sdn Bhd. “This is critical to achieve consistent production of 3D displays. This patent grant will provide the checks and balances to ensure that we can mass produce our 3D displays in a completely quality assured process.”
The Company is awaiting similar grants of this patent in the United States, Japan, China, Taiwan and India, whilst patents in the United Kingdom, France and Netherlands have already been granted through the European patent grant.
 
CHROMATIC LIGHT DEFLECTOR™ is a patent pending Optical element that dramatically improves the brightness, clarity, and improved transitioned viewing angle,  of displaying 3D images – glass free. Using a patent pending way of shaping light across glass, 3D images are created through an optical element that the company has developed.  CHROMATIC LIGHT DEFLECTOR enables consistent high quality images over an extended time, as it is able to absorb heat without changing its optical properties – unlike some competing plastic lenses.
 
This joins the 120 plus patents that 3D International has already filed, covering over 46 patent families.
