Metova Founder Receives Top Tech Company Distinction

Kevin Ross, founder and president of mobile application developer Metova, was named today to the 2011 Tech 25, as presented by Nashville Post magazine. The inaugural awards list honors technology sector innovators within Middle Tennessee.

“Franklin, Tennessee isn’t readily know as a tech capital, but there really are quite a lot of companies in this market taking the lead on product innovation and software development,” said Ross. “That’s why we’re more than honored to be included in this list of top tech talent. Founded in 2006, Metova develops apps for the Android, iPhone/iPad/iOS, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7 platforms. Its customers range from enterprising entrepreneurs to international heavyweights in the social, media, technology and health care industries, among others.

According to the magazine, companies are chosen for the list based on a variety of factors, including business size and scope, markets served, how the company’s technology affects the marketplace and future plans.

Metova has grown 689 percent in the last three years, and was one of only five companies in Tennessee to be listed on this year’s Inc. magazine’s list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the country.
