Racine, WI – Nov 4. Gardtec Incorporated, the world’s largest manufacturer of electronic cooling fan accessories, has just released the industries first complete line of 100% totally recyclable Stainless Steel Fan Guards to the market.The Gardtec Stainless Steel Fan Guards are designed to fit all industry standard tubeaxial cooling fans which range in sizes from 25mm to 172mm. The guards are all manufactured from high grade 304 stainless steel, which is electro polished to offer a very bright and long lasting product finish, under environmentally challenging applications.
The chromium content in stainless steel alloys is what generally prevents corrosion of the material. The chromium works by reacting with oxygen to form a tough, adherent, invisible, passive layer of chromium film on the surface. If damaged mechanically or chemically, this film is self healing, provided it has sufficient oxygen.
These very advantageous properties of 304 Stainless Steel allow these fan guards to be used in applications involving outdoor, sea water, military, ozone, chemical, refrigeration, paper and food processing equipment without causing any damage to the fan guard, or application.
With proper care, 304 Stainless Steel has a life expectancy of over 100 years and is totally recyclable.
