First items of the TMS Inspiration Days agenda have been announced

TMS Inspiration Days is an international conference focusing on the functioning of the business and technology aspects of the translation industry. This third edition of the event will be held 19-20 April 2012 in Krakow under the banner of “Technology for business”. The conference agenda already includes three presentations: “Keynote: Overview of translation technology” (Ben Sargent), “Selling in America” (Renato Beninato), and “Implementation of Machine Translation – case study of Pangeanic” (Manuel Herranz).
The conference will begin with the “Keynote: Overview of translation technology” lecture to be held by Ben Sargent from Common Sense Advisory. Ben has been involved in the translation industry since 1989. In CSA, he focuses on technology-related areas, particularly dealing with CMS and TMS tools. The lecture will focus on the major technological trends and solutions available on the translation market and their impact on the functioning of an enterprise.
The “business thread” also includes a presentation entitled “Implementation of Machine Translation – case study of Pangeanic” that is to be held by the Pangeanic founder and CEO – Manuel Herranz. Pangeanic is one of the pioneers of Machine Translation, which for years has been setting new directions for the MT technology market. The company is also one of the founders of the Translation Automaton User Society (TAUS).
The lecture "Selling in America" will be given by Renato Beninato - one of the most famous experts and visionaries of the translation and localization industry. Within the 30 years of his market presence, Renato has been involved in such organisations as the Common Sense Advisory, Berlitz, and Milengo. The "Selling in America" lecture will present information and the rules that are necessary for planning an effective expansion into the US market.

Registration for TMS Inspiration Days 2012 is now open. Works on the agenda are still in progress and its next items will be successively presented.
