The IDC Theory includes knowledge reviews on various topics detailing what it takes to be an instructor. You can read and study in your own time about all the different courses you will teach as a PADI Instructor, how to minimise the risks while teaching, and much more. All of this information you will use during all of your teaching career as well as during the physical part of the IDC. This part is therefore a crucial one to prepare, and the great news is that you have up to 12 months to complete it!
The Diving Knowledge Workbook will help you study the theory of diving. You will be in regular online contact with your Course Director, so at any point, we can help you understand those tricky concepts and assess your knowledge through practice exams.
The Padi Digital Crew Pack also contains many tools such as the PADI Guide to Teaching and PADI material highlighting IDC tips.
We will also help you to utilise the full range of PADI tools available to you as a PADI member, such as the knot tutorials in the PADI app, which give you step by step instructions on how to make all the standard PADI knots. And of course don't forget the tools that we as Your-IDC have made, such as the skills demonstrations we have available for practice and a myriad of preparation material for all the theory exams of the IDC.
