EC21.com Takes Further Steps To Protect Intellectual Property Rights(IPR)
EC21.com has recently announced that they are trying to enforce stricter policies for the protection of intellectual property and ensuring a safer online trading environment by strengthening its internal monitoring system against IPR infringement, and by banning members who have a previous record of violating the rules and policies of its online marketplace.
As part of the company’s IPR protection policy, an ongoing campaign has been launched to reduce the number of pirated goods and strengthen protection of patents, trademarks and copyrights of a wide range of goods. “We pay great attention to the campaign and have made solid progress in some key regions and some key product categories,” said Kabsik Park, a chief operating officer of EC21.
The current policy on the protection of Intellectual Property Rights is to prohibit the publication of any product information that is against the policy. EC21.com responds expeditiously to the requests by intellectual property owners to take down any items that the owners believe have infringed IPR. Under the campaign, EC21.com has established clear internal standards and procedures for delisting products and terminating the accounts of non-complying members based on substantiated complaints.
