New music superstore set to rock Eastbourne

09-19-2005 05:46 PM CET | Leisure, Entertainment, Miscellaneous

Press release from: Bonners Music

Eastbourne will soon have one of the largest music stores in the UK when Bonners moves to its new premises on Langney Road in Eastbourne town centre.

Due to its outstanding success, Bonners' incredible selection of guitars, keyboards, pianos, drums, brass, woodwind and other musical instruments will now be on offer in a mega superstore, which is spread out over two floors and a whopping 10,000sqft – a giant leap from their old 3,000sqft store.

The new store will open on Saturday September 24th and Eastbourne can look forward to superb promotional offers on the day, as well as live bands playing Bonners' gear to warm things up.

Tony White, who jointly owns the business with Myke Edwards said: "It is going to make us one of the biggest music stores, in terms of space and variety of instruments, in the country. For musicians it will be something of a tourist attraction".

The new Bonners will have one of the biggest 'guitar walls' in the UK. The firm stocks all the top names such as Fender, Gibson and Yamaha. There will also be designated sections for drums and other instruments, as well as a massive sheet music department.

The main innovation for the Superstore will be a large area called the ‘Interactive Zone’. Children who are thinking about taking up an instrument can walk in and try them out to their heart's content in the interactive zone, without the worry of being told to turn down the noise!

Bonners has strong links with schools and teachers and plans to extend this service considerably once they open.

The firm began in Ivy terrace in 1976 and moved to its present position in Grove Road in 1986.

In recent years, Bonners has developed a comprehensive online music store ( www.bonnersmusic.co.uk ), where customers can view and purchase most products on-line. For the past two years, Bonners have teamed up with Leapfrogg Internet Marketing ( www.leapfrogg.co.uk ) and this partnership has enabled Bonners to climb to many top ranking positions on various search engines in all areas of their business. This growth in business which Leapfrogg’s search engine optimisation services have provided has meant the move to the new store was inevitable due to the larger storage and display of instruments required to service such an active website.

Please see www.bonnersmusic.co.uk for more information on the new store.
