COVID-19 Attacks 56 Front Line Private Security Officers

Charlotte NC March 22 2020
The COVID-19 virus has caused many of us to stop going to class, to work from home or keep our distance from the people around us.
But our first responders and front-line security personnel do not have that option.
56 security officers including 15 TSA screeners have become victims of the virus in seven states.
1 security officer in New York reportedly passed away from the virus. We know that he was an elderly man.
Security officers who were assigned to courtrooms, schools, hotels, airports and theaters have all contracted COVID-19.
Because health officials and hospitals are not releasing much personal data on those infected, mainly due to current HIPAA laws, we cannot be certain how most people nationwide were infected, their demographics or how they were infected however, we can definitively say that our security officers are catching the virus mainly through "Community Spread".
Security officers are still working at grocery stores, pharmacies, hotels, governmental facilities and on mobile patrol.
And just like all other law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel, security officers are still out doing their jobs protecting life and property while trying to stay safe.
