Hair Removal Laser Now Available for at-Home Use

TRIA Beauty, the pioneer of light-based skincare solutions and category leader for at-home hair removal, introduces the third generation of the TRIA Hair Removal Laser to the European market. The central warehousing and fulfilment for TRIA Beauty in Europe will be handled by RHIEM.

Voerde, 25. October 2011 – TRIA Beauty’s origin goes back to the invention of the LightSheer® Diode Laser, the first laser hair removal system designed for use by physicians. Invented in 1993, the LightSheer® diode laser was and still is considered to be the gold standard for in-clinic laser hair removal by physicians worldwide.

With the foundation of TRIA Beauty, Inc. in 2003, the company strived to bring to market a hand-held device that would deliver the same results as the professional LightSheer® diode laser, while making it gentle and safe enough for at-home use. After years of research and numerous prototypes, in 2004 the first TRIA Laser Hair Removal System is sold in Japan. Having launched in the US market in 2008, the TRIA Laser Hair Removal System is still the only FDA-cleared laser available for home use that delivers permanent results.

The product portfolio will soon be extended by the launch of the TRIA Skin Perfecting Blue Light device.
