Global Competition for Talent in a Challenging Economy: The European Career Fair at MIT

Cambridge, MA, September 2011- The European Club of MIT announced today that the 16th European Career Fair will take place on the MIT campus on January 21-23, 2012. In today’s challenging economy, companies must attract the best talent worldwide to remain competitive. ECF provides a one-stop shop for European employers looking for the most talented brains from around the world. ECF has also become an essential stepping-stone for Europeans in the US to continue their career back in Europe, as well as for non-Europeans interested in a career overseas.
Candidates who wish to participate are invited to submit their resumes at www.euro-career.com by December 3rd, 2011. Participating employers can select candidates from the proprietary online database and hold interviews at the fair. Companies and non-profit employers may register until December 9, 2011. The fair is usually accompanied by several panel discussions and seminars hosted by companies and the European Union.
ECF 2011 attracted over 5000 job seekers from 124 countries, with roughly equal numbers from Europe, US and the rest of the world. The majority came from MIT, Harvard, and other top ranking American universities. The number of companies and non-profit organizations attending ECF has grown significantly in recent years and exceeded 130 in 2011, reflecting the increase in global competition for talent and the high quality of the fair.
