Press release from: Stratophase

/ PR Agency: Alto Marketing
Stratophase, innovators in real-time in situ monitoring and diagnostics, will be presenting a talk entitled “Optical microchip sensors for multiplexed detection of biological agents” at this year’s Bio-Sensing conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 10-12 October. The presentation by Devaki Bhatta, Stratophase’s Head of Biodetection, will outline the latest developments in bio-detection solutions utilising the company’s proprietary SpectroSens™ optical microchip technology.

By using light to measure change, Stratophase’s unique technology brings precision, flexibility and cost-effectiveness to real-time monitoring and diagnostics. SpectroSens microchip bio-detector is coated with specific antibodies that bind with high specificity and affinity to biological targets. When a given toxin, bacteria or virus is present in the sample it binds and triggers a positive detection. One disposable SpectroSens microchip can be used to test multiple samples simultaneously, or several biological targets within a single sample.

To find out more, meet Stratophase at Bio-Sensing 2011 Amsterdam (10th to 12th October), or see the website at www.stratophase.com.
