Boss Appreciation Day
WHAT: In celebration of National Boss Day, Blue on Highland located in Needham, MA, is honoring all bosses, by offering guests a free appetizer when they dine with their boss during lunch on Monday, October 17th, 2011.Celebrated annually on October 16th, National Boss Day was founded in 1958 when Patricia Bays Haroski, an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Deerfield, Illinois, designated it a day to show appreciation for her boss and other bosses as a way to improve the relationship between employees and their supervisors. Haroski, the daughter of a hard-working business owner, did not believe the younger generation knew the challenges and difficulties involved in running a business, and choose her father’s birthday as a day to honor everyone in a supervising position.
From 11:00AM to 4:00PM, earn a few brownie points with the boss and treat them to a gourmet lunch while capitalizing on a few perks of your own!
