What: It will be a day of cars, cigars, cannolis and canines as Ragazzi Italian Kitchen and Bar will host a car show and animal adoption event to benefit Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. and Guardians of Rescue. There will be classic and unique cars on display and animals available for adoption from Save-A-Pet. Members of Save-A-Pet and Guardians of Rescue will also be joined by cast members of Discovery Channel's hit reality series “Carfellas.”
The event coincides with Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, an initiative to promote pet adoption and raise awareness about the millions of dogs currently living in shelters. It is estimated that five out of 10 dogs in shelters are destroyed simply because there is nobody to adopt them.
When: Saturday, October 15 (Please note: This is a rain-or-shine event.)

Where: Ragazzi Italian Kitchen and Bar 2950 Middle Country Road, Nesconset (behind Smith Haven Mall)
Directions: LIE to Exit 62 North to Stony Brook. Take ramp to Route 25 toward Smithtown/Riverhead. Turn left onto Route 25 towards Smithtown. Go approximately 3.5 miles. Ragazzi is on the left-hand side.

Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue Inc. was established in 1994 and is located in Port Jefferson Station. Save-A-Pet works with The Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter, to place homeless animals into new homes with loving families. All of the animals that come to Save-A-Pet are spayed, neutered, tested for diseases and vaccinated. Prospective adopters are thoroughly screened and matched with the most suitable pet for them and their family. Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill shelter and is a safe haven for all of the animals that enter it.
