Press release from: California College San Diego

San Diego, California, October 12, 2011 - California College San Diego has taken yet another initiative to make post-secondary education more accessible to students by offering them no-cost General Educational Development (GED®) credential tutoring.

Since the eligibility criteria for all of the undergraduate college degree programs offered by California College San Diego is a high school diploma or an equivalent GED credential, having a GED diploma is vital for aspirants of higher education who could not finish high school for some reason.

The GED exam assesses the high school–level proficiency of candidates in five key subject areas: reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science, and is developed by the American Council on Education (ACE). The GED certificate is awarded to students who meet the passing score requirements.

Because of its importance in securing college admissions as well as many jobs, California College San Diego is offering tutoring sessions to help students prepare for the GED exam at no cost to them.

In addition to personalized attention from knowledgeable instructors and flexible tutoring hours, students who attend these GED preparatory sessions at California College San Diego enjoy complimentary study tools, take practice exams, and receive help with registration for the test.

Students can also look forward to counseling and motivational sessions at California College San Diego that are designed to help them prepare mentally for the examination. In addition to all these benefits, the college also bears the cost of the examination once students are ready to sit for the test.

Once they have the GED credential, students are eligible for admission to the various undergraduate degree programs available at California College San Diego.

California College San Diego currently offers undergraduate degrees in fields like business administration, accounting, graphic arts, respiratory therapy, nursing, healthcare administration, computer science, computer programming, and many more.
