"TOP 100 START-UP 2020" of the energy transition

Renergon receives the prestigious "TOP 100 START-UPS 2020" certification - from hundreds of selected companies from 88 countries.

With this award, the German Energy Agency (dena) and the World Energy Council are honouring the most promising, innovative and inspiring start-ups of 2020, selected by a high-ranking jury and supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.

The #SET100 Initiative nominates the top 100 energy system transformation start-ups from around the world, honoring innovation, sustainability, and companies that are revolutionizing the world. It is distributed and shared with partners around the world, including those in the government, corporate, and industrial sectors, as well as investors and VCs looking to invest in energy-related start-ups.

From more than 800 applications from 88 countries, a high-level international jury identified the companies with the most promising business cases for energy system transformation and climate action. The selected companies present their innovations at the SET Tech Festival in Berlin - an international event for start-ups, the energy industry and investors. The festival also serves as a forum where start-ups can make contact with international companies from the energy industry, investors and potential customers. A total of around 800 participants are expected to attend - including over 200 start-ups.

The SET Award 2020 and the Tech Festival are part of the global SET initiative for pioneers in energy system transformation and climate protection. More than 100 partners from politics, business, science and non-governmental organizations are participating worldwide.
