Fam Raises Breast Cancer Awareness During October 2011

(Saudi Arabia) 04 October 2011 – Napco’s feminine hygiene brand, Fam, is spreading breast cancer awareness throughout October 2011, by sponsoring Zahra Breast Cancer Association’s campaign, ‘Hamlet Fam Zahra – Li’annaki Anti El Asas’, in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, as part of the awareness campaign, Fam and Zahra are calling ladies to declare their fight against breast cancer on Fam‘s Facebook fan page.

Fam Facebook Declaration against Breast Cancer

Consistent with "Fam Cares" slogan, the leading feminine hygiene disposables brand in the Middle East, offer Facebook fans a chance to take an active role in the fight against breast cancer. Collaboratively, Fam and Zahra Breast Cancer Association encourage Facebook fans to sign the declaration and confirm their responsibility to themselves, their loved ones, and their society and country to fight against breast cancer.

On Fam Facebook fan page, fans can share stories, photos, and videos about encounters with breast cancer and the importance of early detection and awareness.

Fam and Zahra Breast Cancer Association Awareness Campaign 2011

Fam also joins Zahra Breast Cancer Association in the fight against breast cancer in Saudi Arabia, for the second consecutive year. During October 2011, Fam and Zahra Breast Cancer Association will raise awareness among Saudi citizens about the disease at booths in malls across Saudi Arabia.

From 3 – 11 October 2011:

- Bilal Bin Rabah Mall, Riyadh, KSA
- Aziz Mall, Jeddah, KSA

Zahra Breast Cancer Association and Fam will also put up booths tentatively in the following malls:

- Al Azizia Panda
- Khurais Plaza
- Galleria Mall

- Jarir Plaza
- Al-Raka Mall

- Al Andalus Mall
- Roshan Mall

As part of the campaign, ‘Hamlet Fam Zahra – Li’annaki Anti El Asas’, Fam and Zahra Breast Cancer Association will also offer conferences or set up booths at universities throughout Saudi Arabia. The goal is to promote early breast cancer detection, increase awareness, and provide women in Saudi Arabia with all necessary information.

From 3 - 5 October 2011 Zahra and Fam will be available at booths at:

- King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA
- University of Dammam, Dammam, KSA

Zahra and Fam will also set up booths or hold conferences tentatively at the following universities:

- Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, KSA
- Effat College, Jeddah, KSA
- King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, KSA
- Al Yamamah University, Riyadh, KSA
- Dar Al-Hekma College, Jeddah, KSA
- Princess Nora bint Abdul Rahman University, Riyadh, KSA
- Alfaisal University, Riyadh, KSA

Early breast cancer detection, the key to survival, is possible by being educated about breast cancer symptoms, knowing risks and getting screened regularly.
