MOL Again Earns Listing on Major Socially Responsible Investing Indices
TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Koichi Muto) today announced that the company has once again been selected for inclusion in the major socially responsible investing (SRI) indices – the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia/Pacific) and FTSE4Good Global Index.This month, the FTSE Group, a joint company of the Financial Times and the London Stock Exchange, announced its selections for the FTSE4Good Global Index, and U.S.-based Dow Jones named companies for the DJSI Asia/Pacific Index, after a thorough assessment process.
Companies chosen for these indices must meet international criteria for social responsibility in areas such as corporate governance, environmental protection, human rights, and relationships with stakeholders, and are expected to be leaders in sustainable growth. Selected companies become target investments for SRI funds.
