Press release from: Hyatt Regency Calgary

CALGARY, ALBERTA (September 12, 2011) – Hyatt Regency Calgary reveals new renovated meeting spaces.

Directly connected to the Calgary TELUS Convention Center, Hyatt Regency Calgary offers spaces to suit any gathering. The renovated Calgary, Alberta hotel meeting rooms, including the 1800 person capacity ballroom, have all been upgraded to include state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, as well as supplementary power to support a variety of needs. Energy efficient lighting systems with customizable controls have been added to allow each meeting room to further enhance the ambiance of various events, while benefiting the environment through Bullfrog Power’s 100 per cent green electricity.

Hyatt Regency Calgary has also incorporated Respire by Hyatt meeting rooms into the conference complex. The hypo-allergenic rooms are designed to eliminate up to 98 per cent of airborne allergens and bacteria, as well as pollen and other irritants commonly found in indoor environments. Respire by Hyatt meeting rooms offer an ideal working environment, enabling Calgary conference goers to remain fresh, alert and productive.

“Hyatt Regency Calgary is excited to provide guests with a selection of enhanced conference spaces to complement Calgary conventions, meetings and social galas,” says Herb Rackliff, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Calgary. “Our passion to provide the ultimate meeting experience in Calgary means we’re continually investing in the best products and technologies to make our exceptional facilities even better.”

The conference space renovations also showcase a strong appreciation of the Western Canadian landscape with patterns inspired by the Alberta Wildrose and the Aspen leaf, and a color palette of deep blues and earth tones amplifying the connection to the natural landscape. Materials have also been drawn from indigenous natural elements including alder ceiling beams, cherry beams and wall paneling, Canadian Limestone and granite counters and used throughout the Calgary, Alberta meeting and conference spaces.
