Shu Assumes Top Post at Bay View Funding

(SAN MATEO) — The Board of Directors of Bay View Funding has named Glen Shu as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Shu, 42, brings more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry, most recently serving as Bay View Funding’s President since April 2009 and Chief Operating Officer since October 2007.

Shu succeeds the company’s previous CEO, Vince Narez, who assumed the responsibilities of Vice Chairman of the Board. Narez will continue to work closely with the company to assist in meeting its growth objectives.

Shu joined the company in 1998 as Senior VP of Underwriting and Operations for the factoring division of Bay View Commercial Finance Group. In 2004, he became Executive Vice President. He began his financial services career at San Francisco Federal in 1989 and has held marketing, underwriting, and portfolio management roles with KBK Financial and Concord Growth Corporation.
