Messung Systems launches NX7 PLC

Pune based Messung Group of Companies, a leading industrial automation provider and pioneer of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) technology in India, unveiled one of its most ambitious products – NX7 PLC at Automation Expo held in Mumbai today.

This new exclusive range of PLC is equipped with latest state-of-the-art product that has a combination of PC & PLC. It consists of user defined web pages, extremely fast I/O update, IEC 61131-3 compliant, various field-bus options (Profibus / Modbus),hot swappable I/O modules, redundancy features, support up to 32 expansion racks, world class product - with international standard (CE / RoHS),enhanced diagnosis, designed for easy installation & maintenance, flexible architecture, wide I/O and special modules.

Keeping in mind the requirements of process companies, project handling companies, conveyer manufacturers, machinery manufacturers, production monitoring system manufacturers and EPC contractors in the field of water, power and building automation, Messung Systems has deployed the best resources to develop a product of this caliber. The R & D team incorporated the latest technologies in the product, like the capability to handle large number of I/Os with very fast update, embedded Linux based Operating system with real time multitasking feature, Multiple Ethernet ports and expansion Cable redundancy.

It also includes some new user friendly features in mechanical structure like diagnostic LCD on each module, special diagnostic push button for field diagnostics, dynamically updated diagnostic Web pages, huge memory for data storage, application event logging, remote monitoring, hot plugging of all modules and road map towards hot-standby redundancy. That’s not all; the product has licensed IP of few groups/companies whose technologies are embedded in the design.
Its innovative design facilitates its usage in various applications such as Infrastructure, Machinery Automation, Water Management and Utility Sectors. The product design is focused towards controller for process automation. Keen attention has been paid on its capability of handling large number of Analog I/Os and related processing.

The select range of PLC has a life span 10-15 years and is focused towards the medium and large I/O market. With its specific application areas it has addressable market size of about INR 250Cr in India. Messung aims to produce about 1,000 to 1,500 systems per annum to ensure uninterrupted supply for the customers across the country.
