Fort Collins, Colorado, September 20, 2011 - The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states candidates in accounting received starting offers averaging $48,993 in 2009; that the annual median salary of an accountant as of 2008 was $59,430, and employment rates for accountants are estimated to rise by 22% by 2018.* In order to prepare their accounting students for even brighter careers, CollegeAmerica now offers a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with Forensic Accounting Emphasis as part of their extensive list of degrees at the associate’s, and bachelor’s level.

According to the "2010 Report to the Nations on Occupational Fraud and Abuse," there has been a significant increase in the incidence of forgeries, money laundering, and other white-collar crimes; on average, organizations lose 5% of their yearly profits to fraud. **Hence, there is a demand for professionals who integrate the proficiencies of accounting law and finance to assist in investigating, detecting, and providing proof of fraudulent activities.
