Couple to Wed 30 times around the World

Alex Pelling and Lisa Gant are from Manchester, England. The couple have always wanted to travel the world in search of a new home, new friends and their future together. They decided that they were going to do it, they threw caution to the wind, sold all of their possessions and just set off, they also decided that they would like to get married, possibly whilst on their trip of a lifetime.

So they saved and saved and lived a little bit like hermits they put everything up for sale and started to get vaccines for every disease imaginable and they also started to research weddings.

They are both very romantic but they also like to do things a little bit differently to most. They looked for unique wedding locations, wild weddings, traveling weddings, they read wedding blogs, travel blogs and love stories but they just couldn’t quite find what they wanted.

Most of their research revealed amazing manor houses, castles, beaches, garden parties and similar. They loved those ideas but they were just not what they had in mind.

So thay made another decision. To keep themselves occupied whilst traveling they would research unique and unusual places to get married and build a database to help others find the wedding of their dreams! That was it, an idea was born. What better way to discover these amazing places than to go there and find out all about the cultures and traditions of each location and how they each celebrate the ceremony of marriage?

Well the idea grew and suddenly they were discussing actually having a wedding ceremony in each place so that they could personally experience the traditions and culture of each place first hand!

‘Traveling and finding friends, adventure and fun whilst immersing themselves in the cultural differences of wedding ceremonies all over the World…who wouldn’t get excited about that?’ Says Gant.

With so many locations to visit and cultures and traditions to learn about it will be hard for them to choose where they finally officially tie the knot; but when they do pick their favourite place it will be an extra special wedding ceremony to celebrate both their marriage and the start of a new adventure. One you could potentially experience first hand…

They left their home 3 months ago, have driven across Canada and had 6 wedding ceremonies so far! ‘The trip is planned for two years, so at this rate it looks like we will end up having more than 30 ceremonies’ stated Pelling. After reading their blog you start to realise that the weddings are a big part of the trip but its also how they get there, what happens along the way and most importantly the people they meet.
