Micromanufacturer Potomac Photonics Appoints New CTO

Dr. Greg Behrmann, the new Chief Technology Officer for Potomac Photonics, holds several patents and is published in the fields of optics and microfabrication.

Lanham, MD, September 17, 2011 -- Leading micromanufacturer, Potomac Photonics, is pleased to announce Dr Greg Behrmann as its new Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Behrmann brings broad and extensive skills to the position, including five years with Potomac from 1995-2000.

During his previous tenure at Potomac, Dr. Behrmann was a Senior Engineer responsible for process development, machining system design, installation, and training. He has been a Principal Investigator on seven federally funded research programs, holds three U.S. patents, and published extensively in the fields of optics and microfabrication. Dr. Behrmann holds BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He’s held positions in the Army Research Laboratory, Corvis Corporation, and EM Photonics, Inc. Most recently, Dr. Behrmann was an award-winning technology education teacher at the Friendship Collegiate Academy, a Washington DC public charter school located in Ward 7.
