Author and illustrator, Wendy Reed Grimm, has launched a new website, which is animated and interactive, for children ages 3-7. It provides a number of different valuable activities for children.

Author and illustrator, Wendy Reed Grimm, has launched a colorful new animated interactive website that provides many benefits for children. With a focus on values-based education and entertainment for children Wendy developed the site to offer an additional resource for the age 3-7 age group. Based upon Wendy's book, Little Lilly's Polka Dot World, the site offers several resources for early readers including alphabet learning tools, number matches, and a narrated version of the book. In the learning tools section, a child can roll over letters of the alphabet to hear the letter names.

The games portion has a very simple number puzzle to put numbers 1-4 in place. The activities section has printable coloring pages. There are even wall prints that a parent can download to frame and hang in a child's room. The book, which is a story about Little Lilly Polka Dot whose world is filled with polka dots, teaches children that going to the doctor is not so scary. The web version is narrated by 8 year old Ruby Davenport.

The site, www.littlelillypolkadot.com, is a wonderful resource for teachers, parents, and schoolteachers. The site is entirely free and has the additional feature of animation, which will delight all visitors. The site, consisting entirely of artwork by Wendy, has tremendous visual appeal with its bright colors and consistent use of the character Little Lilly Polka Dot.
