Hoffman Services Contributes to Certified Lift Inspector Program Advisory Group
Heavy-duty lift supplier advises on certification guidelines for lift inspectors to help improve industry safety standards.Newark, NJ, September 14, 2011 -- Leading heavy-duty lift supplier, Hoffman Services, is playing a key role in an expert Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) advisory group suggesting important guidelines for lift inspection standards. Managing Director of Hoffman Services, Matthew Morgan, is making key recommendations in relation to the new Certified Lift Inspector Program to improve safety standards in the industry.
Responding to both industry and government demand, the ALI is developing an official certification for inspectors of automotive lifts. Qualified inspectors have been the missing link in the safety chain with this certification program closing the gap. Inspectors will assist shop owners and lift manufacturers to comply with safety standards.
“I’m pleased to be part of this advisory group,” begins Matthew Morgan, of Hoffman Services. “Rigorous safety standards are important for the lift industry and qualified inspectors bring a level of accountability and consistency to the industry.”
The inspector certification program will comply with the Guides of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and will be fair, valid and legally defendable.
Current lift safety operation manuals are available through the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) at http://www.autolift.org/ or through distributers.
Hoffman Services welcomes the certification program.
