FUHU INC CLOSES $15 MILLION SERIES C INVESTMENT
LOS ANGELES, CA. (September 7, 2011) – Fuhu Inc., developer of leading kid-safe apps controlled by parents called Fooz Kids, is proud to announce that they’ve closed a $15 million round of investments from Foxconn Technology Group and Kingston Digital, Inc.The lead investor in the round, Foxconn Technology Group, founded in 1974 by Terry Guo and anchored by Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., is the world's largest contract manufacturer and maker of electronics components with nearly 1.2 million employees worldwide. Some of the most renowned products Foxconn makes include Apple’s iPhone and iPad as well as products for Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Microsoft, and Intel.
In addition, Kingston Digital, Inc., the Flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, is also an investor in Fuhu Inc. Kingston®, founded in 1987 with a single product offering, offers more than 2,000 memory products that support nearly every device that uses memory, from computers, servers and printers to MP3 players, digital cameras and mobile phones. In 2010, the company’s revenues reached $6.5 billion (USD).
