Press release from: Noble Missions for Change Initiative

In commemoration of the International Day of Education, January 24th, 2020, Noble Missions celebrates the launch of a new program called ‘Give a Teach’ which aimed at providing free, equitable and quality basic education for children in Nigeria.

According to the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Nigeria needs at least 250,000 new teachers to address the challenge of the shortfall of teachers in basic education. This is why Noble Missions birthed ‘Give A Teach’ as a means of proffering solutions to this problem. The organization through its platform at www.giveateach.org recruits working professionals as volunteer teachers to teach special subjects like ICT, Foreign Languages, Creative Writing, Fine Arts, Human Rights, etc, in low resource public schools, especially schools in rural communities where there have been no teachers for these subjects.

With a seed grant from a US-based donor organization called The Pollination Project, the program is being piloted in the Federal Capital Territory - Abuja and currently has 491 children benefitting from ICT training.

Noble Missions hopes to expand this program across all states in Nigeria.
