Nakido Reaches 39.6 Million Users and Launches in Over 60 Languages
The free file sharing service, Nakido, has passed 39 million active users and is seeing over 260 million file transfers per day. On the back of this success Nakido has now been launched in over 60 languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.[Doylestown, PA] September 2, 2011 - Nakido, a free online file hosting service that allows people to upload and share their documents, images, videos, and any other types of files, announced today that more than 39.6 million people have used Nakido to share their files, and that every day over 260 million files are transferred in the Nakido network.
The company also announced the immediate availability of the Nakido service in over 60 languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. With these new translations, people sharing files with their friends and family will be able to enjoy Nakido in their native language.
“The growth and success of Nakido has been phenomenal,” said Carl Stuart, vice president of Nakido. “but now we are building on that success by adding these new languages. This will continue to make Nakido a true global success story.”
Nakido utilizes Nakido Flag, a P2P file sharing platform (free for Windows, Mac and Linux), to support large file sharing. Files larger than 4GB can be uploaded and shared as a single file without splitting it into multiple smaller files.
With Nakido Flag installed, users can queue a list of files to the web-based Upload/Download Manager to transfer files. It also has the ability to resume broken downloads allowing users to continue a download in case of a connection interruption.
Nakido uses a folder system to list files uploaded and shared by users. Files uploaded to the Nakido network by users will be put into the users’ C: drive folder, where users can create folders to organize files into different categories. Using this file organizing method, users can retrieve files they’ve uploaded by browsing the folders, and members of the Nakido community can easily find the files shared by other members.
Nakido was founded in 2004 by a team of software development enthusiasts who wanted to create a high quality file sharing service. With it you can share documents, images, videos, and any other files with your colleagues, friends and family. Nakido offers large file support, the ability to resume interrupted downloads, unlimited uploads, unlimited downloads and unlimited storage. Files uploaded to Nakido are persistent and remain until you delete them. This means you can add permanent download links to your website or blog, to forums or to social networking sites likes Twitter and Facebook.
