Photokore selects Photo Contest winners from thousands of entries from around the world

Winners of the ‘My Country’ photo contest hosted by Asia-based microstock photography company, Photokore were announced today on photokore.com .

“Response to the contest was tremendous, with the quality of submissions proving that everyone has great photos in their collection” said Sean Mooney, President and CEO of Photokore. “It was a very competitive contest, and we were overwhelmed by the number of submissions that we received from all around the world.”

The theme of the ‘My Country’ photo contest was for each photographer to submit photos that they felt best represented the country of their choice. First-place, second-place, and third-place prizes were awarded to the three photos judged to best represent their country. In addition, a Grand Prize was awarded to the photographer who submitted the most photos that followed the contest theme.

The contest ran from July 1st through August 15th, and gathered a total of 5,676 submissions from 237 Artists from 48 countries. Photos were submitted to three categories – landscapes, portraits, and objects.

The three winning photos can be viewed at www.photokore.com/photocontestwinners, which also includes a video compilation of the 60 best submissions. The first-place winner is also this month’s Featured Artist on Photokore’s site.
