DrinksTV® Launches First On-Line Interactive Bartender Competition

MIRAMAR, FL April 17, 2007 – DrinksTV®, the ultimate multimedia Web site for the alcohol beverage industry, has launched the first ever online interactive bartender and cocktail competition. The competition, entitled “Tequila Cocktail Showdown” sponsored by Oro Azul Tequila, showcases DrinksTV®’s patent pending online voting mechanisms, with features such as negative voting that create an exciting gaming atmosphere for registered users.

To create this competition, DrinksTV® utilized its in-house production capabilities to film and produce over 100 tequila cocktail recipes on location being prepared by 50 of the best bartenders in some of South Florida’s finest restaurants, bars, lounges and nightclubs. The videos were then posted online at www.DrinksTV.com/OroAzul and distributed through DrinksTV®’s partner video sites, such as Sony Entertainment’s Grouper.com.

The showdown continues through June 30th, 2007 with registered users being able to vote on their favorite cocktails and bartenders up to five times per video daily. Cash prizes total $6,000, with a grand prize of $1,500 to the winner. DrinksTV®’s marketing team will be on the streets keeping the bartenders engaged throughout the competition by handing out “Vote for Me” cards to the bartenders and working with Oro Azul’s local distributor to further promote the competition.
