New apps for caretakers and private customers by pixolus
Apps for RheinEnergie and Municipal Utility Hamm successfully launched 

Cologne, Jan. 15, 2020 | pixolus expands its range of solutions for meter reading: In addition to the established meter scanning module, customizable white label apps are now available for caretakers and private customers.

Six years after founding, pixolus is well-established in the field of meter reading. In many markets, there still is - and will be for the years to come - a huge stock of unconnected meters. That is why the recording of millions of meter readings every year will still have to be done by countless meter readers, caretakers and private individuals. pixolus improves this indispensable recording process with tailor-made solutions for many target groups:


* Meter readers from innogy Metering have recorded an impressive 5 million meters with the app MIA (My Intelligent Meter Reading) up to now. The advantages of the app, which intelligently connects to the relevant corporate systems, are substantial time savings and a significantly better data quality.


* Caretakers in the Cologne region have been successfully recording meter readings of electricity, gas, water and heat meters with the new Immo 31.12. app solution for RheinEnergie AG since late 2019. Via the corresponding web portal, property managers assign reading orders concerning both general and sub-meters to the caretakers. Unlike before, all parties involved have full transparency at all times regarding the current processing status. Thanks to barcode and meter reading scanning, caretakers can now record meter readings easily and error-free - paper lists and media breaks are a thing of the past. RheinEnergie is truly convinced in this digitalization solution: "Both the customer and us save considerable time and process costs. Immo 31.12. will significantly strengthen our customer loyalty", says Rainer Pitzen, Account Manager housing industry a Rheinenergie AG.


* Private customers of Stadtwerke Hamm (municipal utility Hamm) have recently been offered an up-to-date alternative to reporting meter readings by postcard and telephone: the App ichlesApp. The usability principle is an intuitive user guidance for meter reading. The integrated barcode scanner makes sure the correct meter is allocated, before the actual meter reading is automatically done by image recognition. Users are supported by functions such as reading out recognized meter readings or switching on the built-in camera light. Customers can record meter readings as often as they like; they profit from lists and diagrams displaying individual consumption quantities and average values.

The modular white label solution comprises scanning, app and portal components. 
Adaptations for new customers can be done without much effort. pixolus will present its solutions available and ongoing developments for meter readers, caretakers, private customers or energy managers at the trade fair E-world 2020 (Hall 4/653) this February.
