2019 HOUSEKEEPER OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNER ANNOUNCED
Maria Helena Fernandes, a London resident, has won the 2019 Housekeeper of the Year Award. The Award, sponsored by TidyChoice, celebrates the most professional and skillful housekeepers in London. Maria Helena beat several hundred professionals across the whole of London to win this prestigious award.Originally from Portugal, Maria Helena has almost 20 years of experience in domestic housekeeping and commercial cleaning. Maria Helena has built an outstanding reputation for high cleaning standards, professionalism and friendliness. She was nominated for the award by all her customers who endorsed her with excellent reviews. Many of her customers rate her as the best cleaner that they have ever had.
Maria Helena Fernandes, award winner, said:
“Winning this award makes me extremely proud and happy. I remember reading about last year’s winner, Bilyana and wishing that it could be me one day. I am very grateful to my customers and TidyChoice for this award.
I think that I won the award because I really enjoy the work which is why I give it my best. I like and respect my customers and treat their homes as I do my own. I also love working as an independent housekeeper because I find it very peaceful working alone!”

About Maria Helena Fernandes
Originally from Lisbon, Maria Helena trained as a hotel room attendant and housekeeper in Portugal before moving to London. Maria Helena did commercial cleaning before becoming a private house cleaner. She joined the TidyChoice platform in June 2018. Maria Helena travels to Portugal a couple of times a year to visit her parents. Outside of work, Maria Helena going to the movies and having the occasional pint down the pub!
