GetReadyGEAR, Inc. Partners with Preparedness Training Services to Develop Emergency Training for Care Facilities

08-24-2011 08:49 AM CET | Business, Economy, Finances, Banking & Insurance

Press release from: GetReadyGEAR, Inc.

As our nation ages, more and more individuals are being admitted to adult residential facilities (ARF) and residential care facilities for the elderly (RCFE) for care. With this increased emphasis on residential care growth, California has passed legislation to mandate such facilities create an Emergency Plan, maintain emergency supplies for residents and staff, and train employees in emergency procedures. Similarly, group homes (GH) and day care facilities are also required by legislation to have such plans, supplies and training. In an effort to answer this growing need with end-user focused training, GetReadyGEAR has partnered with Preparedness Training Services (PTS) to develop six emergency preparedness courses designed for owners, administrators and staff of such care facilities in California.

“Leveraging our extensive knowledge of emergency preparedness and needed supplies with the extensive senior care facility management and operations experience that PTS provides has allowed us to create a very unique and focused online curriculum” said GetReadyGEAR President Jim Serre.

For additional information on emergency preparedness training for ARFs, RCFEs and GHs, contact Linda Jerviss at (866) 227-5188 or visit www.ptslearn.com.
