The special prize of the World Hotel Award 2006 goes to the Rugard Strandhotel,Binz, Germany for outstanding service and an exemplary price performance.
The World Hotel Award stands not only for the most beautiful hotels and resorts of the world but also for the perfect service for the guests. There are many beautiful hotels and resorts in the world but a stay only becomes unforgettable if the service for the guests is perfect. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference.
Hotel classifications can only provide a rough overview of standards. But all written information cannot deliver the feeling during a stay to be someone really special. The World Hotel Award therefore goes only to hotels and resorts which do not only fulfil those standards but in addition embrace us with a feeling to be in the most beautiful spot in the world.
No other hotel prize sets such high competition criteria. Already today the World Hotel Award is regarded as ”The Prize of the Prizes“ in the environment of the travel world.
History
In 2005 a total of 450 submissions were received in the fields of Indulge in Luxury, Classic Hotel, New Hotel, Business Hotel, True Stylish Hotel, and Soul Experience. The jury recognized only 24 of the nominees with the World Hotel Award. A proof for the high standards set by the independent jury.
