Quantum Composers, a leading manufacturer of lasers and systems, has released new information on the use of its lasers in the process of micro and mini LED manufacturing.

The white paper was created to describe the process of laser manufacturing and offers detailed information on setup and design of these systems.
As the market for this technology grows, laser companies like Quantum Composers are now offering custom and OEM system design and help with integration of new components. This allows manufacturers to address issues of weight, size, and reliability of the laser and overall system.
Introduction to Micro/Mini LED Laser Manufacturing
While OLED technology has been enjoying its time in the spotlight, display innovators are already turning their attention to the next big technological shift –MicroLED. After almost two decades of investment and development, MicroLED technology is beginning to find some commercial applications such as Samsung’s “The Wall of Luxury”.

In addition, companies, such as Apple and Facebook’s Oculus, are incorporating this technology into their design for future products and several manufacturing and research companies are stocking up on patents. One barrier to entry is that the manufacturing costs are still much too high to compete with LCD or OLED displays. Even so, major consumer companies, including Sony, Samsung and Apple have significantly increased their investment in this technology, making MicroLED display the next major advancement in display technology to be adopted.
