ClicQA Added a New Feature “Test Data Generation” to its Product “ClicAutomate”

Despite adopting advancements in Automation Testing and other latest methodologies for a faster quality software release, a lot of organizations are still not making any move towards transforming Test Data Management for Test Automation.

Test Automation’s primary goal is to repeat the execution of same tests again and again across different environments and with different sets of test data to ensure functional accuracy. However, methodologies in leveraging test data have been same since the last couple of decades while other areas of Software Testing have seen advancements.

According to 2018-19 World Quality Report, 53% of participants reported they lacked test data for Test Automation, and a major portion of participants reported they were using masked production data and a minor portion reported they were using synthetic test data.

ClicQA, an Independent Software Testing company, has understood the urge to mitigate the challenges that test data persist for the digital world we live in today.

So, we have developed a new feature Test Data generation.”

Mr. Rama Rao has more than 15 years’ experience in leading testing teams to test BFSI and NBFC applications. According to Mr. Rama Rao, production data is taken from the user’s interaction with the previous release of an application, so it doesn’t work for the new release of an application with new features.

ClicQA CEO and Founder Mr. Venkatesh Akula has said “By focusing more on producing more test cases to improve Test Coverage, most testing teams ignore to test with enough test data. Improvements in test coverage and functional accuracy can be achieved with equal focus on test data along with a number of test cases.”

Adding to Mr. Venkatesh Akula’s statement, Mr. Rama Rao has said “Testing teams ignore focusing on Test Data is because they are not equipped with tools to generate Test Data, they have to do it manually. Newly generated test data will be different compared to existing data in the application as it can uncover unexpected results in real-time. So, we have developed a new features Test Data generation in our ClicAutomate.”

Using ClicAutomate, complex test data can be generated based on data combinations technique, and automated tests can ensure functional accuracy with insightful reporting.
