UK Models Bluerooms Lead Fight Against Scammers

Press release from: Blue Rooms Studios Ltd

Leading UK Models photography studios the Blue Rooms have taken a number of steps to prevent would be models falling prey to the confidence tricksters that relieve young hopefuls of their money and also their dreams.

London, England 16th August, 2011 – Many businesses connected with the world of modelling from agencies to photographic studios are taking positive action in an effort to prevent people from being deceived by smooth talking fraudsters

A representative from one of London’s top agencies explains, ‘The legitimate modelling industry stands as one in our fight against the criminals who deceive people and give our industry a bad name. Although we are usually in competition with each other in the hunt for raw talent this is one area where we all agree and work together.’

The legitimate modelling industry is becoming more and more concerned with the number of criminals luring young people into modelling scams. The vast majority of these scams comprise of the aspiring model being given hope, relieved of their money and the ‘Agency’ or ‘Agent’ never been seen or heard of again.

Our representative goes onto say, ‘People may ask why we are so intent on eradicating these scams? The answer is simple; their actions blight the whole industry and give cause for the reputable companies such as UK Models Bluerooms to be eyed with caution and in some cases even suspicion. The action we are taking now in the form of online warnings and advisories should be enough to let the scammers know we are onto them and hopefully reduce the level of active scams.’

Although the industry is trying hard to eradicate this persistent stain on their profession the rise of the internet has led to crooks broadening the number of ways in which they can snare their victims with the social networking sites becoming an ever more popular platform for the scams.

Our representative concludes by saying, ‘As the old saying goes you can lead a horse to water but you cant force it to drink meaning although we are publishing and highlighting the current modelling scams we cannot force people to take notice, we just hope they take the time to check the warnings before they get themselves into an unfavourable situation’.
