SGS now offers CGC?s Golden Sun Mark Certificate.

SGS Germany GmbH has signed an agreement with the China General Certification Center (CGC). On June, 30 2011 the CGC provided SGS with the accreditation that enables SGS to provide the Chinese CGC mark, the Golden Sun Mark Certificate.

The China General Certification Center (CGC) has agreed to work with SGS Germany GmbH, giving SGS Germany GmbH the accreditation to offer CGC’s Golden Sun Mark Certificate. With their Golden Sun Certification Approved Laboratory, solar modules tested by SGS Germany GmbH can now be accredited by CGC via the Golden Sun Mark Certificate. Alongside the IEC related certification process, solar manufacturers can thus gain access to the Chinese market.

“With this important agreement we can provide a comfortable one-stop certification service to our customers and thus simplify their global expansion,” explains Jörn Brembach, Business Manager Photovoltaics.

Founded in 2003, the CGC (http://www.cgc.org.cn/eng/) is currently China’s leading certifier in photovoltaic product testing and certification. It operates under the licensed authorization of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA). Until now, the CGC established and executed China’s increasingly influential, national certification scheme for photovoltaic projects - the Golden Sun certification.

With regard to this important partnership, the CGC and CNCA demonstrate their great appreciation for SGS’ photovoltaic testing capability. Both parties can thus provide enhanced one-stop solutions to their customers, whether national or international.
