AVIOVA EasyBrief backs up your EFB solution

A quick und smooth transfer of all flight-relevant data is essential for air traffic safety. However, due to rising passenger numbers and information volumes, the pressure on board crews and ground-handling personnel increases. EasyBrief, developed by AVIOVA Aviation+Innovation GmbH, is an intelligent cross-platform system to improve the information flow. During the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Users Forum, which took place in Madrid from 5 to 7 November, the system was presented to the public for the first time.

EasyBrief is an Electronic Flight Folder (EFF) system which provides all relevant data for flight operations. It allows a bilateral communication between cockpit and operations control centre. Weather, flight route, ad-hoc information from flight operations, plane dispatch or defects at the airplane can all be accessed quickly and directly at the right place to guarantee smooth processes. EasyBrief is not operating as an app and can be used cross-platform, contrary to other systems. In turn, it is available for tablets, notebooks or smartphones with all known operating systems, which allows permanent access to all relevant flight information, even in case of hardware/platform failure.

“Using EasyBrief as an EFF briefing tool is the ideal protection for a worst-case scenario. Despite being slim and reduced on the essentials, all relevant flight information is available. Although designed as a backup, it of course can also be used as a primary briefing tool. Accordingly, the system is especially interesting for small and medium airlines because it can depict the complete briefing-process and even offers documentation tools adapted for authority standards”, says Joerg Moerke, Product Manager at AVIOVA Aviation+Innovation GmbH.

EasyBrief is compatible with iboardings, an innovative carry-on luggage scanner for more efficient boarding processes. The combination of both applications allows the direct implementation of luggage information from the iboardings-Cloud into EasyBrief in order to provide real-time information to the cockpit crews. The near-time-connection of ground-handling and cockpit information optimizes resource efficiency and performance.

On the EFB User Forum & Exhibition in Madrid AVIOVA, demonstrated their platform agnostic EFF solution and showcased the collection of carry on luggage weight in real-time to be available for the cockpit crew as well as the airlines operation control center.
