Space Age Optometry Arrives in the North East
Since its launch in October of this year, a new chapter is unfolding on Gosforth High Street. With advanced diagnostics, Concept Eye Clinic, established 11 years ago, now offers patients state-of-the-art optometry to provide a gold standard in eye care. This makes Concept uniquely placed against any other high street opticians- particularly within the North East. The clinic which is situated in a beautifully renovated building, a former coach house, once derelict and abandoned for years has undergone a significant investment of half a million pounds.
Managing Director Vik Kumar said “The Concept experience is all about people. Whilst having our own space will help define that experience, we remain consistent in our heartfelt delivery to provide the best in independent eye care.”
The clinic is one of the first independent practices in Newcastle Upon Tyne to invest in digital photography to conduct a detailed eye examination for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the detection of glaucoma, diabetes vitreous detachment and age-related macular degeneration. Often when eye pathology is seen at the surface of the retina, it is too late.
