7digital supports interactiveaudio

Cologne, 16.4.07 : Going by the name "interactiveaudio"(TM), a new modular method for outfitting CDs with added-value is being offered since early 2007 by AREA ENTERTAINMENT, based in Cologne, Germany. Building on Sony DADC's n-CD technology, it allows for many ways of individual consumer approach and post-purchase involvement among which connecting CD-owners to related online fan sites and communities is but one.
In a cooperative effort with leading british digital media delivery provider 7digital that incentive is now being taken to a new level, for the first time realizing a direct premium system for owners of legit CD copies. The most recent release of pop act "B-L-E-N-D" is an interactiveaudio disc equipped with an intelligent forwarding capacity which will, when perused on a connected PC, take its proprietor to additional free exclusives of the band on the internet.
At B-L-E-N-D's digital download store, the same tracks that are given to album-owners free of charge can be purchased regularly by anyone not possessing a copy of the album.

An interactiveaudio CD doesn't even set a cookie; the system configuration of the computer remains untouched."
