Nashville, TN – November 11, 2019 –
The Senior Benefits Foundation, a true 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2016, announced that it will begin offering complimentary seminars to help educate seniors on retirement programs available to them through the federal government.

According to organization founder Randall Putala, “People who are entering their retirement years are often confused by the choices available to them under the Social Security and Medicare programs. “

“Today’s seniors are perhaps the most educated in our nation’s history,” he said, “but they have never retired before. The details of these programs are NOT common knowledge, and because this is the one and only time people will retire, they are often baffled by the wide array of choices,” Putala said.

One area of confusion for many seniors, according to Putala, involves the advice and counseling available through the government offices running these programs. “People assume that the customer service people at these organizations are required to tell you how to maximize your benefits, when that is not the case at all,” he said.

“You – as the retiree – are expected to do your own research and know the many choices available to you,” Putala said. “Unless you are a seasoned veteran of the industry, you won’t know that there are over 900 different ways to take Social Security benefits,” he added. You won’t know that there are many, many choices to limit your out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare. People need to find a reliable source of information and consider all of their options before locking in their retirement benefits,” Putala said.

The Senior Benefits Foundation was founded in 2016 as a true 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The organization’s mission statement is to “help improve retirement decisions through education, by distributing complimentary, easy-to-understand educational literature."

Currently, the group is active in three states, Florida – New Jersey – and Michigan, but is hoping to expand across the nation in the coming years. People in these three states should check their local newspapers for seminars that are planned for 2020. And people in all states can request the organization’s complimentary literature through their web site, www.seniorbenefitsfoundation.org, by paying shipping and handling fees only.

For more information, contact the organization through their website or by calling the group’s founder, Randall Putala, at 615-844-4244.
