“The Republic of Mauritius officially adopted the Smart City Goals in May of 2019, with the government of Mauritius who took a decision to achieve the countries Smart City Goals through various Social development strategies and projects as per the Mauritius Economic Development Vision 2030. The Government of Mauritius have significantly offers a platform for direct investments through a competitive, business-friendly, efficient jurisdiction where major multinationals and international banks have established presences to business across Africa and anywhere in the world and its ultimate purpose of ‘high income, Sustainable, innovative and inclusive economy with modern infrastructure, global connectivity and advanced skills and technology’. While setting up strategic paths to overcome various obstacles, including strengthening the role of private sector, balancing public sector spending, creating conditions for reinvigorated direct foreign investments and improving infrastructure, the Republic of Mauritius have implemented many Sustainable development projects for achieving their Future City goals and their targets.

Hence, in an effort to support the countries vision for sustainable development we at TraiCon in collaboration with the Economic Development Board will host the Future Cities Summit Mauritius 2019 under the theme “Transforming Mauritius Cities into Secure & Digital Sustainable Cities” on 28th and 29th November 2019 at the Mauritius. The Future Cities Summit Mauritius is a strategic high-level summit covering major industry trends such as smart infrastructure, urban planning, sustainable mobility, artificial intelligence and blockchain, smart healthcare, smart security, amongst others. The forum will see the participation of more than 500 participants including industry stakeholders and smart city enthusiast from across the globe.
