Absortech extends its range of desiccants with AbsorGel® Sheet

Absortech, a Swedish company with global presence, has launched a new product that fills a gap in the moisture protection industry.

AbsorGel® Sheet has been specially designed to protect large items from inside of the crate or packaging. Traditionally, moisture protection of large items, like machinery or vehicle parts, has been based on protecting the container environment with large desiccants or inside boxes with multiple smaller bags.

The new AbsorGel® Sheet saves time when loading and maximizes protection from moisture damage with its large pouch design. Installing the AbsorGel® Sheet is fast and easy. It is installed by placing a single unit on top of the item to be protected inside the box or crate. The permeable woven film on top absorbes moisture from the air while the PE plastic on the bottom captures the absorbed water.

AbsorGel® Sheet has been designed as a flexible product. It can easily be adjusted in production to fit a specific space and need. It is currently available in 3x2 square and 3x3 square combinations.

With the launch of AbsorGel® Sheet, Absortech responds to the demand of companies transporting items with odd dimensions. AbsorGel® Sheet ensures those products are correctly protected from moisture damages such as corrosion or mould and mildew.

The quantity of AbsorGel® Sheet needed for optimal protection will vary depending on several factors. To determine the proper amount of desiccants needed, Absortech recommends that customers use AbsorDim™, Absortech’s dimensioning service.

AbsorGel® Sheet belongs to the Product family AbsorGel®; high quality desiccants using Calcium Chloride as the active moisture absorbing compound and a startch as the binding ingredient.
