Friends of Howard Football
According to Head Coach Gary Harrell, the generous gift from Friends of Howard Football will be of great use to the program. “The players, coaching staff and I are working hard to prepare for the upcoming season, and we are ecstatic to have such dedicated support from Friends of Howard Football,” Harrell said. “I sincerely appreciate all that they are doing for our program and its’ dedicated young men.”
Howard University’s President, Sidney A. Ribeau, also thanked the group for their donation via a personal letter. “It is with sincere appreciation that we acknowledge Friends of Howard Football for the generous gift that is bestowed upon the Howard University community during the spring semester. This wonderful spirit of giving has made it possible for the Department of Athletics to receive eight flat-screen televisons…As we strive to build upon past successes, we thank the Friends of Howard Football for choosing to play a role and helping to affirm our commitment to the vision of renewing the University’s proud legacy.”
Friends of Howard Football is an alumni-based fundraising group that promotes interest in the Howard University Football program. Their goal is to help provide the best academic and athletic opportunities for the student-athletes, while maintaining Howard’s high standard of excellence.
