Kochar Wins 2011 Graham Bell Award

Mumbai, 23rd July: Kochar has been awarded the prestigious Graham Bell Award by Sh. Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for Communication & Technology, in the category of “The most Innovative Mobile Enterprise Product and Solution”, for its Device Management Solutions Know Max and Device Max.

These Awards have been constituted by UTV Bloomberg, Agies and PwC (Knowledge Partner) and are intended to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship and to recognize outstanding contributions in field of Telecom and Internet.

After the grand success of 2010 Awards, 2011 Award has also attracted interest of leading firms like: Nokia Siemens, Alcatel Lucent, TCS, AirTel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, Aircel, Spice Digital, HCL, Amdocs, Uninor, Videocon, etc.

The Awards to judge Innovation in around 25 different categories were special as it had some of the well known personalities from IT and Telecom Industry as jury members. The honorable members were Mr. Chandan Sonowal, (Director, Aegis Bangalore); Mr. Rajan Mathews, (Director General, COAI); Mr. Narayanan Madhavan (Associate Editor, Hindustan Times); Mr. Amol Masurkar (Principal consultant, PwC); Mr. Satyen Gupta (Member of Committee for PM Address Allocation Policy, Govt. of India); Mr. Subho Ray, (President, IAMAI) and Dr. Manish Gupta (Head Innovation, IBM).

Kochar showcased its Device Management Solutions Know Max and Device Max, which helps in simplifying the ever increasing complexity of Mobile Internet and new age devices and has emerged as a winner.

Currently some of the largest operators like Airtel, idea, Aircel use the solution in managing the mobile data services user experience.
