Hangar & Office Space Expansion at Banyan

Press release from: Banyan Air Service

Banyan Air Service continues to expand at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE). Earlier this year, Banyan acquired hangars 65 and 66 with an additional 33,000 square feet of space.

Under the direction of Banyan’s Dan Torres and his building maintenance team, the hangars have been remodeled into rentable offices with new carpet, tile and paint. “These are great offices for aviation companies or individuals who want to be located at FXE. They are also available as a three-office or a five-office suite with side street access. The offices are close to United States Customs, have good access to I-95 and have space for vehicle parking,” said Torres.

“South American pilots and charter companies enjoy renting offices here for the convenience it provides,” added Jon Tonko, Banyan’s line service manager. With 15 hangars, and over one million square feet of hangar and office space within an 85-acre complex, Banyan can accommodate their needs for space.

Tenants are in good company in the Banyan complex as there are a wide variety of aviation neighbors all in one location; avionics and maintenance services, aircraft charter and management, flight training schools, aircraft sales companies, aerial photography services, helicopter services, air ambulance companies, corporate flight departments and private aircraft. Over 700 aircraft, including 115 jets and 37 helicopters, make Executive Airport their year-round home.

“In addition, flying into Banyan at FXE is convenient because of less air traffic, no landing fees, no ramp fees, no Customs fee, and no facility fees,” said Tonko. FXE offers a 24-hour FAA air traffic control tower, an instrument landing system, U.S. Customs & Border Protection Service, aircraft rescue and fire-fighting station, police substation and 24-hour contract security.

Banyan’s future plans include adding another 60,000 square feet of hangar space that would be designated for common storage and for charter operations.

In addition to adding hangars, Banyan is updating its security system by adding 26 more cameras to cover the ramp, parking lot, and interior hangars.

Banyan Air Service located at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport is a 24-hour FBO with comprehensive aviation services. For more information on Banyan, visit www.banyanair.com
