MI Windows and Doors announced that its new website is now live at http://MIenergycore.com. The site is media-rich and has been designed to be accessible via all devices including all web browsers, tablets, and Smartphones with both web and mobile-friendly versions. The mobile version will load automatically and provides and robust experience while still allowing users to access the full site if they choose to.

The site has been designed around customer types with easy access for homeowners who are looking for information about energy efficient windows and doors, professionals like builders and architects who need installation and technical information, and a password-protected dealer portal with tools to help market, sell, and support the new window line.

The site is launching in conjunction with a product launch event starting today at the Prescott Resort and Conference center. At this three day event, MIWD’s top dealers, salespeople and industry partners will learn more about the products and the marketing tools that have been created to help sell the new line. Dealers attending the event will complete the training required to become MI EnergyCore Certified Dealers.

Designed from the ground up to be device neutral, the site will support all platforms including all major web browsers, iPads and Android-based tablets, and Smartphones like Blackberrys, iPhones, and Androids. It is coded using HTML 5.0 and JavaScript so that animations and videos work on all devices unlike Flash-based sites that exclude many customers who use Apple products. The mobile version of the site will load automatically and provides a robust experience while still allowing users to access the full site if they choose to.

Patrick Schutte, Business Development Consultant for MIWD designed the site and then partnered with Webvanta Inc., a Sebastapol CA based technology company, to build it. Says Schutte, "Webvanta is known for its hosted CMS website solutions, and we selected them to build our new MI EnergyCore web site and its companion iPad application. Webvanta offered a unique solution that allowed us to deploy to the web, mobile devices, and to an iPad application simultaneously."

“We believe there are many opportunities to help businesses sell more products through an integrated strategy that encompasses their desktop site, mobile site, iPhone and iPad apps, and social media. Our database-driven hosted CMS platform provides an efficient tool for executing on this strategy, and our professional services team provides painless, turnkey solutions that let our customers move forward aggressively without getting bogged down in technology, “ explains Michael Slater, the CEO of Webvanta.

The website is just one component of MIWD's multi-pronged information access strategy that includes mobile and social media tools and an iPad application in addition to traditional tools like a robust website. As part of its social media campaign, it has already launched a Facebook page, http://facebook.com/mienergycore, a Twitter feed, http://twitter.com/mienergycore, and a YouTube Channel, http://YouTube.com/mienergycore.

"We're going to the next level with this new MI EnergyCore product line," notes Mike DeSoto, President of MI's Western Division. "We believe this is a unique, premium product in the West that gives us and our dealers a competitive advantage. Our new website allows homeowners, professional, and our dealers to have quick and easy access to information about the new energy efficient windows and doors."
